Lens cap won't come off

Yesterday I removed my Nikon Z televonverter from the lens and placed the lens caps on each end. Today I tried to remove the lens cap. One end came off easily, one won't budge. I, and 2 other people, have attempted to remove it without success. I have tried using a no slip surface to surround the cap and twist without success. This has never happened to me before. Does anyone have any safe suggestions for attempting to remove the cap?
Thanks,
Michael

Just checked my Z TC since I recently took it off the Lense. To install both Caps line up the Mark on the Cap to the White Dot on the TC and turn Cap counterclockwise to where it stops and that's the only direction the Cap turns which will be about 1/4" Counterclockwise.

Last time that happened I had to put it in a vice.
Because the cap is plastic you shouldn't worry too much.
I did notice that the caps have a right way up that resists getting jammed. 🦘

If you break it, you'll be out $11.95 plus shipping at Adorama or adorama through amazon. Annoying way to spend money .. 😦

The suggestion of a filter removal type tool us a good one. With many plastic parts, when you squeeze them by hand.....or in a vice, the plastic deforms and it grips tighter.....

Rubbing your fingers around the lens mounts passes a tiny amount of oils from your skin and is usually enough to prevent lock-ups...🦘

Nasal sebum is recommended for many uses, some photographic, might be good on lens cap threads.
I have used it as a rod ferrule lubricant for years, applied directly to the ferrule by rubbing the male part of the ferrule along the nose crease, no fingers involved, works well.

Yep, that was an old trick for fishing rods, particularly those with plated brass ferrules, also works well on the newer carbon fibre jobs as well.
Best of all, it’s plentiful and free
