Autumn Bull Moose

I guess it's still autumn though it's feeling a lot like winter. The Moose have moved out of the river bottoms and the big bulls are beginning to yard up for the winter out on the sage flats. Spotted a large group of bulls from the road yesterday and took a long walk through the crunchy snow this morning to frame this big guy against the mountains.

These two with the mountain background just came through - really outstanding! Aren’t you embarrassed even a little bit, posting such quality & quantity of photos?? Naturally just kidding, really, really nice! Love seeing your work.

Thanks folks.

Took a walk around one of the closed park campgrounds today and came across half a dozen Moose including one big bull the locals call Shoshone along with a few younger guys. The evening light was nice but shooting was challenging as they played hide and seek in the cottonwood trees with a lot more backside than front side views. Still it's always great to be around these big fellas this time of year.

Beautiful! Very envious! 👍👍

It's Moose time of year again with the Bulls hanging around each other during the day in the cottonwoods and sage brush flats.

Woke up to pea soup fog in town and headed up into the park to find these guys hanging out on a drippy cool morning.

Beautiful shots, Dave, and each with such unique character. Maybe the framing on #2 makes it the winner but I'm a sucker for a closeup such as in #3. Great stuff.
