I have both z and f mount 1.4 tcs . When using my F mount lens' on my Z9 am I better off using the z mount TC then adapter or use adapter then F mount tc and lens?
Thanks
When using an F mount lens, you can only use the f mount TC coupled with an FTZ.
Z mount TC+FTZ+F mount lens doesn't work. I don't think you can even mount it physically.
thanks for your reply. I didnt try to mount but i figured the adapter would of mounted to the tc just like it would it was the camera. Thats what happens when you assume

The z mounts are built differently with a significant Lens protuberance at the front end. That’s why only a few z lenses are built to take them, and considerable care used to mount them … trying to mount them backwards can easily damage the sensor.
And so you cannot use Z teleconverters with the FTZ.
