Nikon have increased deliveries to Europe.
The serial number may help indicate if deliveries to USA have also increased.

If the activity on this thread is any indication, I would say yes. We're post-holiday now and post-COVID supply issues may be resolving.

Supposedly new batch shipping out of Adorama and B&H to non-NPS. Only fulfilling very early orders still though.

Interesting, I ordered 5 minute before you from B&H but cancelled after I got it from my local dealer on 1/30. So I paid our local taxes but got it 3 months earlier.
US Version serial number over 8400 received on 4-22-23.

Thanks - a massive increase - indicating deliveries have probably doubled to maybe as high as even 1,000 a month.
This might be important for the future direction of Nikon.
Canon took a significant lead in telephoto lens sales over a number of years as they embraced what was then modern AF technology starting last decade with the EOS system introduction - while Nikon stuck with backward body compatibility.
Which ever side of this fence you sit on, market share went to Canon, and then relatively recently to Sony - as Sony introduced ML sooner than Nikon or Canon.
Switching to the 600 f4 S - it is probably the number one telephoto lens available from anybody - on paper - but to some extent is vapourware if Nikon does not find a way to increase production to shorten the currently perceived over 12 month waiting list.
Back to the 800 PF - in the UK I have had two emails from dealers this month saying they have at least one in stock for overnighted delivery. It is still not easy to find but the resourceful should be able to get one within a month
Nikon being the current leading player in ML telephoto lens design for the serious amateur and pro is one thing - these products being available within maybe a couple of months is perhaps more important for those able to afford them.
