A pair o' pelicans

I have recently moved away from the Oregon Coast, and I miss watching for these guys to show up in late June. And then sometime in early October you realize that they are all gone! This is a photo from September 2020.

Thanks! It was fun watching them that day, circling and diving in a small boat basin.

Nicely captured. I also love to watch them dive. They look so ungainly. Looks more like they are crashing than diving. But slowmo video or fast frame stills reveal very clearly that they are in control of their dive and making adjustments to their aim point on the way down.
