Adobe October Updates - what is your update best practice?

It looks like Adobe released October updates for Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw, Rush and probably other apps this morning. What is your practice for updates? Lightroom classic is the biggest concern because of having to upgrade the catalog so going back a version is problematic. Photoshop not as much because you can keep both versions on your computer. What are your best practices for updating?

I'm usually 1 month behind... just in case something creeps up, I don't like being on the cutting edge. It not as big a deal for me because I very seldom use Lightroom but still, just a good practice to leave a little time incase...

Just look at what PTC and Piximperfect says. There is also Collin Smith and Blake Rudis - they are always up front.
PTC has just dropped an email re the changes with video!

There are currently some bugs in both the Library and Develop modules. I'd wait until the update release to upgrade. None of the bugs are show stoppers - just modest issues that you may need to work around.

I've updated LR and PS and have had no problems.Whatever bugs may be there, I haven't seen. Obviously I did a complete backup before downloading the new versions. The improved zoom functions on Lightroom are a great improvement for the way I work. Like others, I usually wait a bit before updating, but I saw new features I wanted to try out so I just went for it. :)

I have a problem with Photoshop 2021, not related to photo editing but related to editing some marketing projects I created. In Photoshop 2021 I cannot edit any horizontal text blocks that were created in a document under Photoshop 2020. I can turn off the GPU under preference and I can then edit the text but not with the GPU on. It is a know issue listed on Adobe's site but it seems like a pretty significant problem and I am hoping it will be corrected soon.

Often I'll wait a few weeks and check out various sites to see if there are any problems. This time I wanted to try the new Color Grading tool so I just updated everything and it's worked out fine. I think PS may have a few "headaches" but nothing too big. LrC seems fine.
