You thought the Sony Alpha?
Nope!
The Alpha-Male! Lycaon Pictus or Painted Wolf or African Wild Dog.
We were lucky to see those social canids on our way from Mabuasehube region of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in Botswana. It is arid area and we didn't expect to meet the dogs there. In Wikipedia you can find the following information: "The current population has been estimated at roughly 39 subpopulations containing 6,600 adults, only 1,400 of which are fully grown."
I hope, that they are more adults now.
African wild dogs live in packs and only alpha male and alpha female can breed.
Wild Dog puppies:
I heard that all puppies are still alive and one can see them sometimes in Mabuasehube.
