I am new to this forum as of today.

I stepped away from macro photography some years ago, but have become interested again as of late.

This image was captured 20 years ago (2003) using my first DSLR (D100).

Seeing your images here has inspired me and I hope to be an active member of your group.

Cheers for now!

Welcome aboard and the D100 was my 1st digital camera. I obtained my D100 the 1st of its release and finally replaced it in 2021 as it bit the dust. You'll enjoy this forum and all it has to offer. Mark

20 years ago and it was already a good quality for the time.

Welcome :)

The image quality was impressive in the earliest of the DSLR, but nothing like today. I’ve not made the switch to mirrorless yet, but likely will fairly soon.

Who else remembers Fuji Velvia (50 ISO) with a 1 stop push during processing? And waiting for them to be developed and then scanning them. The move to digital was a huge leap forward.
