American Goldfinch pretty and bedraggled, and bedraggled Northern Cardinal

The American Goldfinch males are reaching their peak breeding colors and I got one in good light yesterday.
Today was rainy and the birds were looking decidedly miserable.

Thanks, Mike. The last one is a female Northern Cardinal. She's not so pretty, but the male is. But I cannot get him to perch on that branch near the feeder. He likes to keep his distance.
