Today marks my one year anniversary since ordering this lens. I am still waiting of course. Just wondering if I was in good company.
Anybody still waiting on the Nikon 800mm PF?

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary. Had my order in 2-3 minutes after my store of choice started taking orders. Not expecting it anytime soon.
I gave up on the waiting and bought one used. Seems to be in perfect condition.

Not on the list, but I finally got to see one in person a few weeks back. Photog friend in Hawaii has one. It was really nice. Incredibly lightweight. And now I've been thinking about putting myself on the list, but man... the wait seems daunting. Hearing that people are still waiting a year later is just not encouraging.
Got one but waiting for the second.

When did you get your first?
There are several for sale on FM. People that are receiving 600 TCs are selling their 800s. Asking retail prices plus any adders like lenscoats, etc.

Sorry for these frustrations of those, who Nikon still keeps waiting.
There're have been recent shipments into a few regions end of March. It would be worthwhile checking smaller brick and mortar stores, and also trying to contact Nikon directly

800mm Z lens orders
At last - I have mine. My dealer (Bass and Bligh Harrogate, UK) got two so currently have a spare if anyone is interested??. Wex (UK) have one in stock.

I've also been waiting for a year; but recently added my name to the wait list for the 600TC. I'm now number 1 on the list for the 600 and number 2 for the 800 at my local store. I am hoping to get the 600 in the next couple of months ( Yellowstone trip at the end of May) and will most likely cancel the order for the 800.

I wish there was a way to know how Nikon decides which retailer to send to, but as far as I am aware, it appears to be a random process? So the retailer who gets it first one time may get it much later in the queue for another item?
I was going to mark the one year anniversary with a candle in a cupcake.

I ordered from Adorama and Samy's online. If I had ordered from a Samy's store, I would have been on a shorter list.

Ordered mine January this year, got it last week. First time I took it out, felt odd at first - you know that feeling you get when you pick up a bucket that you are expecting to be full of water, but is actually empty.

That is very "fast" compared to the majority of people. Maybe Nikon is catching up with its orders.
I got the first one on January 31. I was number 1 and number 2 at my local store (and paid up front April 28, 2022).

Still waiting and not yet near the top of the waiting list at the store where I ordered it Also have the 600 TC on order direct from Nikon (non-NPS) but no news yet. I'd prefer the Z 800 for my use case and budget considerations but will take whichever comes first.
Mine arrives Thursday. Loooooong wait.
Are you in the US? How long was your wait? Did you order from a local store or mail order from one of the large NY stores? Do you know where you were on the store's list?

I am still waiting. In the meantime bought an A1 and 200-600 for about the same money as the bare 800 in this part of the world.
