Ivan that is awesome, my backyard was definitely not as exciting as yours. I sat in the popup blind and watched a bunch of birds out back where I threw a bunch of seed and cracked corn out. Too much smoke from wildfires to stay out very long. It's still kinda fun getting close with the blind even in back yard.

Yes, we are just beginning to get your smoke. Thanks for that :)

Bsinc, that’s a beautiful photo. One of the first images I ever captured of a bobcat was years ago when one caught my eye as it passed my home office window, and I decided to grab a camera and run to the other side of the house where I thought it was headed. Sure enough, it showed up with a cottontail that it had caught on the way. I figured that it had a corpse in its mouth, but it carried it up those steps and put it down, wherein the bunny took off as fast as it could. The cat then chased it down and caught it. This was repeated 3 times before the bobcat carried the bunny off under our fence. Cat and mouse! Sorry for the poor image quality, this was taken through a double pane window early in my wildlife photography career😌

Pacific Golden Plover, known as Kolea in the Hawaiian language. D7200, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 G2 at 200mm (300mm equivalent). An interesting bird, they winter in Hawaii, then in the spring fly 6000 miles non-stop to Alaska to breed. Then return in August. They are usually pretty shy but this one hangs around the beach by my house and comes up to me every late afternoon when I sit there. I guess begging for food, although in 28 years here I've never seen one approach before.

Also at the beach by my place there are four Honu, or Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, that I see daily. My mission is to get a better pic once I get a Nikon 200-500mm. This one was with a 300mm PF and 1.4x TC on my D7200. Not quite enough reach, had to crop more than I like. The 200-500 with 1.4x TC should do the trick. Some catch light in the eye would help too.

Here are a few taken recently From my backyard. Nothing as exciting as above. A gray squirrel, young cotton tail rabbit and an immature red-bellied woodpecker. D500 with 500 PF.

Great catch. Occasionally I'll find parts of rabbits scattered around the property. Let's me know to keep my eyes open for activity. They usually hunt at night and show up often on my trail cams but sometimes they pop out during the day and it's exciting.
