Beautiful shots. Especially like the composition in #2. The curve of the leaf,the pose of the damsel, the crisp shadow detail and the iridescent colors. Great job.

Wow is only comment here. Very interesting damsels. Saw shooting with 180, cropped alot or about 2 ft from insect?

sometimes when it is mating season they stand still for a long time on the reeds so then it is important to shoot pictures
quite large crop on low resolution D700 12mp
the pictures have been taken a long time ago then I had nikon
I also use tubes on 180 ai-s
when I started photographing in 2013, I used 99% of all pictures that I took only MF lenses and then a lot of Nikkor and Zeiss, Contax etc.

to be honest I love this combination more: D700 + Nikon 180 f2.8 Ai-s
than the other one q(I think it was z6+105macro..)

I have also Nikkor 180mm f2.8 and I love it!
