This was the evening fly in after spending the afternoon foraging in the adjacent fields.
Sometimes it looked like rush hour.

I spent summer 2019 BP (before pandemic) in Canada and found an eagles nest in Jasper NP that had roadside turnouts available. I returned to this nest daily for 10 days capturing a lot of images of both parents feeding new chicks.

Papa Eagle, sitting on a tall tree to my right listened to the kids screaming they were hungry. Finally launched off the top of the tree grabbed a road kill on the road several hundred feet away from me and took it back to the nest. It all happened so quick, all I captured was the launch from the tree.

Great Blue Herons have been plentiful around our area this year, and I have the good luck during my daily work chores to be near some of their favorite flyways. Needless to say, a camera bag lives in my truck with me. I don't get much chance for a decent background for many of my shots, but I still cannot pass up the opportunity to get a few frames.

Very nice Neil.
I recognize that tree & pond. I can't tell if these are Harriet or M15, but I do recognize them. :) They were REALLY busy this season, with two hatch sessions. I saw recently that thy are already working on the nest for the next round! Incredible.

Looks like this will be the 1st year in the last 7 that we have not been able to visit the area. :-/

Nankeen Kestrel coming downwind. No crop! Almost caused a total eclipse - it was SO close. Old Canon 7D, 300mm+1.4TC - 1/1,600 @f8. Given the old gear I've filed this one under "Miraculous!"
