We get these very beautiful, graceful, flocks of American Pelicans circling over head fairly frequently, How do you take a photo like this? Just took this one a few minutes ago looking into a bright sky

Very nice Neil.
I recognize that tree & pond. I can't tell if these are Harriet or M15, but I do recognize them. :) They were REALLY busy this season, with two hatch sessions. I saw recently that thy are already working on the nest for the next round! Incredible.

Looks like this will be the 1st year in the last 7 that we have not been able to visit the area. :-/
Yep..
M15 on top, a shor in late 19. The one of Harriet leaving the pond is 3 years old I think. Yes...very busy this past season. We lived in our RV 12-20 and spent the winters here so saw them every year. Bought a house in Magnolia Landing in NFM up US-41 and off the road now.

First and only shot on a fairly miserable grey day. This kestrel sped past at head height before climbing to hover against the grey sky when I discovered dust on the AF sensor (now sorted thanks to @Steve). Shame about the busy background

I know how fast these guys can travel. What country are you in? It looks different to our Nankeen Kestrel (Australia). I once had close encounter (further back in this thread). Took me back to that day. Great capture!
