A bit soft around the eye…AF seemed to have grabbed the wing…as this great blue heron flew off from the pond behind our house. I liked the pose even through it's almost starting to be a flying away shot.

These posted twice...I clicked add photo and dragged the image in and then clicked the full size option...what step did I miss that resulted in the double posting?

I have to share this image, it is not perfectly sharp or technically special in any way, but it is very special for me personally because of the bird in it. This is a black harrier, they are found in Southern Africa, that is if you can find them. they are highly endangered with less than 900 birds known to be alive in nature at this time.

Your images are divine! Would you be able to tell me how you post from Flikr? I tried by using the link option under photo..."something went wrong" message. TIA

Fantastic series Neil!

Not so much missed a step as added an extra step. The Full Size/Thumbnail box at the bottom inserts the image again and if you've already inserted the image via drag and drop and then hit one of those options you'll end up with double images in your post. Once dragged and dropped you're good to go. About the only reason I'd use that option box is if you really just wanted a thumbnail instead of the full sized image and then you'd just highlight the original image and hit backspace (or Delete on a Mac) to get rid of the big one.

I shoot gulls when I get the chance as they're great practice. I usually don't share many of the images but I liked the wing position and background across the small bay in this recent shot.
