On Friday morning, i looked out my living room window and noticed this Blue tit on my tree. I changed my camera set up to Manual and Auto ISO, and here is the result
I wish i was dry 2(s).jpg

Good focus on the bird and nice contrast in the colors. However the light overcast sky as backdrop is not working well. As the sky is the brightest element in the image my eyes are drawn away from the actual subject. To avoid this you should shoot from a higher position and get a darker background.
Yes I know, the bird is in the tree, you are on the ground. If you fetch a ladder the bird will fly away, so shoot. I've got hundreds of similar images

Thanks Niels, the problem was i shot this through my living room window (hence, why its a bright background). However, this was my first successful attempt (even if the background is bright) using manual mode.
