Up at 4:30 this morning to get to Boulder Beach in Acadia NP before sunrise. What a spectacular location - tide was inbound, loons, cormorants, and seals bobbed in the swells, and even a setting full moon showed on the horizon before the sun made its appearance.

Just to follow up on your question about focal length of lens & D 500. The D500 is lightning fast with the 500pf while focusing. Absolutely no issues.

I love the location and low angle sun. On the northern coast (Mendecino) here in CA we have a place called Bowling ball beach. Check it out if ever in area.
