Brushfoot Butterflies - Lower Rio Grande Valley, TX

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

My son and I spent a few days early this week in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas. Spring starts early there so there were lots of insects to photograph. Here are a few of my favorite butterflies:

1. Brushfoot Butterfly (Handheld, two image stack)

Thanks!

By the way, the national butterfly center is a 100 acre facility in Mission, TX with lots varied habitat. We spent two half days there. It’s worth a stop if you are looking for bugs of any kind. There were lots of opportunities at other state parks also.
