Hi @Steve,

I've noticed that I seem to have once again stopped receiving the "Last week's most popular topics" e-mail. The last one I received was on November 27. Any idea what gives?
Not sure - I'm planning to update / upgrade the board in the very near future, we'll see if that solves it. Looking at my deliveries, it seems that it should be getting out to a lot more than it is.

I tried posting to a Landscape thread and one image would just not post. It was 2048px, I tried JPG and PNG, with and without ICC. It would go through the motions of loading, complete with percentage up to 100%, then nothing. Clicking the preview button on/off didn't change that. A couple of other images in the same draft displayed fine.

Any ideas?

We have a limit on the size of the images to keep the server's HD from filling up. I've recently increased it a bit to 2000px wide and 2MB, it sounds like the image you're trying to post is just a tiny bit too wide.

Steve, I seem to be doing something wrong with my downloads, the site will not accept any of my shots even when I drop the size down to below 1 Meg. Any suggestions? I simply get the error message that the file is too large. Thanks, Andrew

Hey Steve/moderators, could you maybe amend the Forum Guidline posts to reflect the increases to pixel and byte sizes of uploads? Thanks.

All set - I forgot about those posts.

I keep getting a banner across the bottom of the screen asking me accept push notifications. I keep checking "no" and selecting "do not ask again" and it keeps asking me. Is there any way to disable this pop-up for good?
This is becoming a daily event, very annoying.

Hi @Steve ,
I wasn't sure where to put this, as this forum is meant to be for Bug Reports in relation to the forum and/or the website, but I hope it's o.k.

I don't know which program you are using to write your e-books and whether it's ab big deal or not, but ...

... in the Autofocus Guide you have the TOC link at the bottom of each page AND in PDF viewers you get the complete TOC listed again in the sidebar, which IMHO is good to have and easier to navigate comperad to jumping back to the TOC by the link and then forward to the desired section.
However, the Setup Guide seems to miss most of the headlines in the sidebar of the pdf viewer compared to the other book.
May be it's just a setting for the PDF export, but it would be great, if the next update had the pdf set up in a way that all headline are available for navigation through the sidebar.

I am sure I am not the only person finding this little "upgrade" helpful with books in the magnitude of 600+ pages.

Apart from that I wanna say a BIG thank you again for all the work you put in these books, as it not only helped me a lot in the past, but also helps me now to ease the step-up from DSLR to MILC.

Hi @Steve ,
sorry but I forgot to mention something (also not sure if it's a bug):

After a longer brake I had to take here in your forum I just came across the "Member's gallery" link in my posts by accident.
I know it sounds a bit like nit-picking, but as you have such a comprehensive configuration for the profiles including numerous privacy settings, I think there should be either an option to choose whether or not I want that link or not, or at least have the chance to remove images from the gallery. Both functions I couldn't find so far, so if I overlooked something, I apologize in advance.

Please don't get me wrong. Of course I have used a small copy of the only image in my gallery in one of my posts, so one might assume, that it is o.k. to automatically put it in a gallery, but I never consented to do so and In fact I have no idea how it found the way in this gallery.
Considering the level of competence in this community, if I decided to put something in the gallery, I certainly would not make fool of myself by sharing an image of such poor quality ;). Anyone should be able to decide herself/himself which image goes in the gallery and which one not.

The Member's Gallery is based off the images you've posted in the Presentation Forums. The assumption is that if the photo was good enough to show off in the presentations forum, it's OK in your gallery. The gallery is just an index of the images you've posted - if you click the image it takes you to that post. The idea is to get more visibility for the images you've posted in the presentation forums. If it's just a single image (as yours is) the album software does make it take up the entire screen.

It would be cool if one could curate their own gallery, choosing only what they thought was their best work and removing others, but that I assume would add layers of code to be able to delete an image from the gallery, or turn off the gallery completely. I guess the solution is to only post something in presentation if one is willing to have in their gallery.

I think it is great Steve! I would not change anything. After all it is not a portfolio. We should have our own site for that.

Hi Steve. Sorry if this question has been answered here but I can't see and I don't see how to do a search in this section. I have been trying for at least 6 months to update 'About you' where I put my gear. I click on Save and the new info never appears.

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to do - can you link me to the page?

Yes, I was trying to change my signature file but I did not know that was what it was called. So easy to change when you know the steps.
Thanks for being an invaluable source of knowledge and suggestions.

Happy to help :)

Also, the forum software is crazy complex, I forget where things are from time to time myself LOL!

Since you made the gallery changes, can you make them easier to access?
When you go to Home>Members I don’t think there is a link in that view when you click on a member? Seems to only be where someone replied to a thread.

I already have a note into the developer (I was thinking the same thing) but haven't heard back. I'll probably hear something next week.
