Yesterday I spent a few hours at the dam, got rained on miserably, and generally had rotten luck with photos! Not today... went back and spent about 4 hours on site, and was surprised at how I could still work with the midday light even on a clear day.

I have more photos to work through but here was some of the most exciting on my card!

Nice shots! I will be going there for the first time on December 8th. I am curious the meta data shows 700mm. Did you crop any of these and since you are using a crop body was it an actual 700mm? Any tips on best place to stand? I plan on being there well before the gates open.

Dave, I‘m guessing it’s the same setup I‘m using with my D500 which is a 500 PF and a 1.4tc.
