Neat animals. Did you crop this shot? If so, I think I would pull back some, as putting some of the environment (like the far bank of the river) would add to this shot. I would also bring down the yellow and maybe green in the water. I am sure that this shot is one of those that will bring back memories for a long time for you. One of the things I love about bird and wildlife photography-my shots take me back to a time and place.

Thanks for the comments. Yes I cropped, I was probably 40 metres away from them. I understand what your saying about showing their environment and I have in other edits of this encounter. But I must admit that when I get a sharp image I take advantage of it........too much perhaps. It was a magic moment.

On the Arda river in Bulgaria. Close to the Greek border, near a town called Madzharovo.
