Does this look over processed?

First time poster.

So I've been out lately doing quite a bit of shooting. Most times I get home and find a few good images to work with. Some are heavily cropped for one reason or the other (not close enough, distracting items in the photo etc) but much of the time they also seem sort of dull and lifeless and I feel the need to adjust vibrance and saturation and the like. Obviously that's why the adjustments are there. From my perspective I will adjust whatever I need to make it look good to me which is how I ended up with this. My family will of course say it looks great but....I'm just wondering from a photographers point if it looks overly done. Do you think the background is too saturated or looks fake or unnatural?

No, not to me, it’s a beautiful photo. The eye is sharp, background nice an creamy and complimentary to the hummer. Very beautiful.

I agree, excellent photo with good composition, sharpness and color. One suggestion though, it looks like you added some vignetting in the corners. You could even that out a bit and also tone down the bright branches.

Looks great! Nice capture!👍👍

I wouldn't say it's over processed. If anything I might try pulling down the highlights or perhaps burning down the bird's breast a bit as some detail appears to be lost in the highlights there.

Agree with what has been said. I would burn in the branches a bit and slightly tone down the yellow highlights in an attempt to get the bird to pop a bit more. Great capture though I would love to see one through my lens.

Its looks good at this resolution, but I would try to bring up the shadows to get more detail in the eye, beak and some of the darker feathers. I'd also bring the hilights down a drop to get a little more detai in the light areas. If you were using Topaz DeNoise you can add a bit of noise back, using the Detail slider, so the background won't look over processed and different from the foreground. But like I said, its looks good at this resolution, but at higher resolutions, it would be easier to see. I'm being very picky, It's a very nice photo. Sharp, good color and good composition.

Excellent image. I would bring the overall brightness down a bit so it appears more "relaxed'. I like it a lot.
