Since I just joined the forum, I thought I might add a post of some Eagles. Since I just joined the forum, I thought I might add a post of some Eagles. Usually the non resident, migratory Eagles don't show up until the shad run starting about now. But we had as many as 80-100 starting in early February so this has been a nice change for the regulars at the Dam.

Eric , beautiful series.! I’m really wanting that 800 pf. It will probably be a while so I’ll enjoy other peoples post like yours. Well done👍👍👍

Thanks John!

Thanks Ralph and I feel the pain. I started my shops pre-order list for the 800PF and didn't get it till Feb 4th. So 10 month wait. You will love it though when you get it!
wonderful set of images. I especially like the close up of those talons! WOW
Thanks Patrick! The Eagle fished just 50 feet in front me me and was just too close for 800mm and clipped the wings so I cropped and made lemonade out of lemons per se

Hey Eric! Were you there Sunday? I was down on the rocks most of the morning. Great shots and look forward to seeing more of your work!

Also, 800mm is a bloody minimum sometimes at that place, isn't it?

Hi, thanks for the kind words! I was there yesterday and the Sunday before. I live just 30 min from the dam and this time of year I'm there quite often. The 800mm is amazing and the perfect lens for being at the dam for sure. It's all about reach there! But the 800PF has been the only one used since i got it early February.

Nice shot Eric.
I think I spoke with you a bit on the 23rd.
I was down there for the day.
Your shots are great, and that 800 gives me the want's real bad.

Excellent photographs -- very well done! Yeah 800mm really comes in handy for wildlife. I'm an Olympus shooter and really like my 100-400mm zoom (which to you FF users is the equivalent of a 200-800), couple that with a 1.4x TC and you have almost the reach you need.
