Earning my new lens(es)!

Great "tests" with some excellent results with high ISOs.
It has been a great experience, especially going out every day and having lots of fun. It has revealed as I mentioned in one of my posts that I have yet to maximize what I have so today I went out and did some more 'hunting'.

The below is a hawk soaring overhead around 11:00AM. Side and backlit, this particular flight was much closer to me so I did not have to crop as much.

Today I saw Pelicans, two different type of hawks, Red Shoulder Black birds, Egrets, Kites and Cormorants. All in the space of about 1.5 hours. I think I need to start devoting some more time in Photoshop and Lightroom and clean up my hard drives. I took my wife later to the area where I've been photographing and had her meet the Belted King Fisher in that area. Pretty neat!

A common blue Jay doing its song and dance.

Part of my high ISO series. On the fence about this one

How to make sure you don't get noice and royally screw up on exposure.

Where is the bird? I missed it. Another one got away.

I was out testing a combination of a Nikon mount Tamron 70-200mm G2 F2.8 with it's matching TC 1.4. Which effectively gives a 280mm F/4. But never mind that, check out the Bokeh! For an F4 280 combination on a Sony a6600 which then I get an FOV of 420.

Sad to say that this is the last time I'll use the adapter with this lens on my Sony. I dropped the entire contraption and now the adapter is kind of lose and m autofocus works intermittently. But the lesson is? I'm getting an F4 300mm. Till the time and place when I get actually get a 400 F2.8. Two or three years form now. I can wait. Meanwhile I'll keep working at it.

The portrait of Dorian Grey!
I'm considering a 300mm F/4. It will be most likely a Canon 300mm F4. I'll be able to use it on both my Sony A6600 and the Nikon Z6II. But it will depend on how my testing goes for a bout a week and half. I've forced myself to use an approximation with my a 70-200mm and TC1.4. This one is one of many where I can have little fun and mistakes actually are pleasant.

White Tailed Kite.

Part of the lens rental series. It just seems that whatever lens I have, the Nikon 200-500mm or another zoom at 600mm, I always end up on the top end of the zoom range. I'm thinking of renting a zoom up to 400mm and see if the sharper lens beats out the longer range.
