Many lenses can deliver good closup shots under the right conditions. This is an uncropped shot of a peacock tail taken about as close as I could get and maintain focus. EXIF info provided. Processed in LrC.
Location - Milwaukee County Zoo. This is where I go to practice!

I couldn't agree more with you about close ups with any lens. LK (Little Kitty) is shot at minimum focus distance, 25,600 ISO with a 200-500mm at 320mm. The only limitation is our thinking.

Beautiful Kitty.
Here are a few better pictures of her. She's loves the camera and loves to pose.

love the cat! Where's the box?

That's a FB joke - for a while, whenever somebody bought a new lens or camera, their first posted images were the boxes and their cat! LOL

I can relate believe me. BH, Adorama or Amazon...they love them all! But camera cases and lenses are Missy's top choice of beds and pillows. Maybe she's related to Ansel Catams
or Henry Catier Bresson🐱
