Female pileated woodpecker

I wanted to get others opinions on the background in this photo. This was taken right after sunrise and the mossy tree in the background had a nice glow to it. To me it's interesting and not too over powering but wanted to get some insight from others.

Very nice image of the woodpecker, but, the contrast of the bright green and dark brown bisecting the woodpecker bothers me. I would prefer all green or all brown.

Yeah, I was torn on it even though I like the moss, I wish it would’ve been more prominent in the background

Agreed - the green/brown line going right through her head is distracting. You caught the light just right on the bird itself though. In an ideal world I would have also liked the head to be turned a tiny bit more towards us rather than just barely away from us. Other than that I really like the image - love the texture of the bark and the detail in the feathers.
