It’s works fine when good light is available. I have no regrets.Ralph— Thanks so much for posting this thread. I've been doing lots of camera research, have bought the D500 (upgraded from the D7500) and have decided to buy the 500PF to replace the 200-500. And was wondering about the teleconverter 1.4. This thread helped me decide to also get the 1.4. With the 200-500, there often is just not enough reach so the teleconverter will come in handy on bright days.
Here’s a couple more.It’s works fine when good light is available. I have no regrets.
