First focus stack

I just finished my first successful focus stack. I watched Steve's class on focus stacking and followed his instructions to the letter. It couldn't have been easier. I'd post it, but it's an ugly shot of part of my back yard. I selected that subject because there were so many points of focus from the front to the back.

If you haven't tried it yet, jump in. The results are stunning.

Thanks again to Steve, who is a gifted teacher.

My first attempts have been more challenging, to say the least :) but I got a couple I am ok with. Definitely an art form that takes some serious practice.

What stacking software did you settle on? I picked Zerene stacker - I found the results and process to be the cleanest for me.

I used Zerene as well as Heliconfocus. I occasionally try, but seldom use, PS stacking software.
