Not too minimalist for me, but Idon't like the leading edge of the wing being cut off.

Nice capture and nice treatment. I would clone out the debris and other small junk in the water. Provide a smoother, cleaner background. Also, maybe a bit more contrast to separate the bird from background bit. Not too much or you lose the minimalist intent.

It appears that way whenever I pull up your post. It may be the computer or the website, but it's the only image that appears that way so I assumed it was your photograph. It may also just be the way the bird's wing actually was, but it looks so straight that it looks artificial.
