He dived about 3 m down past a dead tree trunk into the water to washoff his lunch remains - they nealy always wash after smashing and swallowing their fish. They can do this 5-6 times if you are lucky and you can try and follow them down to the water and back up again to maybe the same perch. Pied KF caught at the moment of impact in the water at Lake Panic, Kruger NP. I like the crystal reflection and splash and the fact that the KF's body is still recognizable.
