Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

And if so, who did your repairs?

My Z6II.

Somehow the mode dial was snapped off while in its Mindshift bag.
Even more mysteriously it also switched from manual mode to automatic.
Tragedy or comedy? You decide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’ve searched high and low online, to no end.

I was hoping you would chime in Eric. It’s been a mystery to everyone that has seen it so far. I have the Nikon work order ready to go, just don’t want to be without the body for an undetermined amount of time.

I've used Nikon service 3 times and each time only took a couple of weeks. Not that it is guaranteed or anything, but my experience has been good with them.

Never seen anything like that before. Looks like a heck of a hit. Yep, like Eric said, send it to Nikon to see if it can be repaired. I only used Nikon service once for a broken zoom mechanism in a 200-500. They got it back to me in a little over 2 weeks. That was pre-COVID so not sure how they are running these days.
