How do I deal with this?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

Thank you. That might work although I am working with a 600 mm lens with a large hood so would be a challenge. Also do not really have 2 stops of light to give away, but still maybe worth a try. Not sure what a 95 mm CP would cost. Will have to check.

Adjusting your EV as another person recommended would also tame the bright reflection, but would also incur a cost of light and darken the entire frame. With the CP, you will lose the 2 stops, but can compensate in exposure a bit to get it back while leaving the reflection behind.

Also, you don't always have to use a CP at full strength.

If the pixels aren't blown there is no reason you can't use one of the post processing methods given to pull them down a bit. If only the specular parts are blown that is still fine. They can't be recovered but wouldn't be distracting if a small area. They could be repaired if desired, with the patch tool set to content aware in the tool options at the top, for example. You can play with the color and structure sliders of the patch tool to get it just right but not too much.

A 95mm an bigger CP is expensive. Maybe your lens takes slip-in filters...
