How many camera bodies?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

Right now, I've got eleven, or at least eleven. Five film, six digital.

I would have more, but have given some away to relatives and students. Just as some of these cameras were gifts to me.

I feel that selling them would not be very financially productive compared to the satisfaction I get when giving a camera to someone who really wants one and can barely afford one. At least five of those I still have are for my children to take whenever thay so ask.
That’s a lot of cameras!

This right here. My old D70s and the handful of my old Sigma DX lenses were worth basically nothing, it'd probably cost me more in shipping than I'd make from it on ebay.

But being able to give it to someone wanting to learn photography and inspiring them to get into the hobby? Priceless.

Z6, Z9
X-T5, X-T5 (IR), X-T20 (IR), X-Pro2
GFX100S
X100V

The Z6 and X-T20 are headed out the door. I'd like to add a GFX50R, cause it's really fun to adapt 35mm-format lenses to GFX, and the rangefinder-style bodies are a lot more enjoyable (to me) to shoot with vintage lenses than "PASM" cameras.

I thought I had "a problem" until I saw what you all own. Now I realize we all have a problem. ;)

I’ve heard good things about the XT5 looks like a great camera

I have 3 film bodies and two mirrorless. I’d like a third but waiting on a new a1 or see what the a9III brings.
That a7RV still tempts me for the focus bracketing. I could easily keep the A1 bodies for several years. That one function and some of the other things in the R5 are nice but the A1 is still a better camera

Hi my name is Vern and I’m a Cameraholic 😁. Still hanging on to my DSLRs D300, D700, D500, D750, D850. Mirrorless primarily now with the Z7II and the Z9. My wife also enjoys photography especially Eagles, Ospreys’s and Owls and that‘s a reason why I haven’t parted with the D500 or the D850.
That’s a nice collection!

For travel I always have taken two cameras so as to have a backup. I find that two identical cameras works the best and can have a zoom lens on one body and a telephoto prime on the other body. I went from two D850's to two Z9 cameras. My D5 was seldom used and never on travel trips.

I also have a D600 modified for infrared photography and at least it uses SD cards and EN-EL15 batteries.
