I had never seen a snapper outside of the water, but can't think what else it might have been. Is this a snapper? I saw it in the wildlife refuge on the banks of the Mississippi in Minneapolis. I love the close up ability of the Z 24-120mm

It has all the features of one so I would say it's most likely a snapping turtle. Nice shot, btw.
