With nesting time in full force I decided to do a little scouting and was surprised to have found a GBH rookery that I hadn't given much thought to for some time, but when I visited it last week nesting was in full swing. The GBH's give you lots of interesting looks when going about building their nests. Here's some of what I got on this one morning's outing.

Wow, beautiful series, thanks for sharing!! (y) (y) (y)

I really like these shots, very nice, especially 3 and 6. The male builds the nest (I've looked this up) and then looks for a female that likes his nest to mate with him and help him finish the nest. In this case, I think the male needs to go to nest-building class...sort of the wrong spot! :)

Louie, These are some of the most gorgeous-intimate Blue Heron shots I have seen! Any one is a wall hanger. You definitely caught their softer side!

Thanks for taking a look, they do give you some interesting looks during this time period.
Such a strong set of images, Louis! All beautifully photographed. #3, 5 and 6 have interesting interaction between the pair!
Thanks very much Karen, I always appreciate your comments.
