Dean, He is a beaut!
We have 10 species recorded in SA. There are 93 species worldwide, so this can be one, long post to see how many we can get over time!
So, here is one of our top three beauties, not that the others are ugly!

Peter, he is beautiful and I wonder if it is the same species that visit here in summer? The bill seems a bit re-curved, not straight. Like the back view, never seen it before. They are not plentyful or easy to find!

Very common here. It was in the same range as the brown hooded so I hope I got the right one. This was in dry scrub and I think I saw 4 on that journey. Also in my garden at 1700m in a forest.

Nice Woodlands, Dave, what about one of yours from the UK?
I have one with a mouse in the bill, old too, and dark, but it was the first image proving they eat mice! From Pafuri area in Kruger

GKF lady has a lovely perch. Did the Pied down that fish? Have never seen such a large catch by a Pied😲
