Mesa Arch at sunrise

I was up early again to get to the park early and to get a good spot because it gets crowded.
This is Mesa Arch in Canyonland NP, UT.

Nice images! Isn't it amazing how the under-side of the arch glows at sunrise? !!!

How many photographers showed up? I was there in 2009 and there were only a few other photographers. But they were all considerate of each other. I was back there in 2012. A long line of photographers. Interlacing tripods was necessary. And some were not considerate of others at all! 😞 I haven't been back since.

Thank you.
That glow is amazing and I liked how the color changed.

There were about 10 cameras on tripods and then 20 - 30 others mostly with phones.
There was some some interlacing but everyone was courteous and friendly.
There was only one young woman that got in front of everyone without asking to get her one picture.
It was a good experience and I enjoyed talking with the other photographers.

wow, you really nailed it with these, 2 is a serious wall hanger. Congrats

Thank you very much.
Great series. We just got back from Moab (& other SW spots) but are sitting around tonight planning for next spring again!
Wonderful area & you captured it extremely well.

Thank you very much.
Moab area is spectacular, but so far the whole state of Utah has impressed me.
I'm heading back to Canyonlands again today, but this time The Needles area.

I agree! I have been to Moab 4 times. Canyon Land, Arches, Dead Horse and more are amazing. Down south is Bryce, it's a hoot too but I prefer Moab. Self photo @ Arches 2 years ago
