A few weeks ago I posted some photos captured while out scouting some sites that we had found before. The settings weren't quite what I wanted so we decided to drive back home, but I kept hoping for a quality composition to utilize the almost full moon that was coming up. Luck would have it as that happened.
Recently my luck has continued as we embarked on a trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
First off, Grand Falls Az (aka Chocolate Falls) just NE of Flagstaff, were still running, what a sight! That was really cool.
Then we ventured onto the Grand Canyon hoping to capture some lightning photos. with the monsoon season seemingly still in high gear, we got to see it all! Lightning, cloud to cloud, cloud to ground, rainbows, unbelievable sunrise & sunsets, and brilliant clear skies at times during both day & night. It was simply fantastic! These are just a few of the shots I was LUCKY enough to capture.
What a trip.
