In this video, I’ll show you my menu setup for the Nikon Z6ii and Z7ii mirrorless cameras. Includes by step instructions with lots of tips and tricks along the way.

Also, yes, I did change the intro. Believe it or not, I had a constant stream of complaints about the old one – apparently it was “too load and fast” for some of the viewers. Based on the their impassioned complaints, I was fearful that eventually someone would press the play button and the shock of the intro would cause them to jump right out of their chair. :p

Let me know if you think I should stick with the new into or if you liked the old one better. Enjoy the video :)

I don't have a Nikon mirrorless camera so the video isn't really relevant to me, but I did watch the intro and personally I prefer the old one: it's much more attention-grabbing and energising (not to mention familiar)!

Thanks Steve for the new walk through of your Z7ll settings --- I had just set mine up last night and am pleased to see that many of my settings are not a million miles away from yours, although I am tweaking mine more towards butterfly photography (macro/close up) with landscape a close second, so will stick them into the User settings (which found pretty useful on the old D750 ). I will be keeping my D5 and D850 for the animal action stuff, but am already impressed with some of the advantages of mirrorless over DSLR. Lets hope Nikon will still be able to produce a viable alternative to the Sony a9ll this year, but I do wish they would reassure us with more info on their upcoming release plans --- being too secretive may turn out to be counter productive !
Prefer your original intro -- its your signature tune and when it starts up I know I'm in for a shedload of great info.

Best quote of the day: “no deer has ever sued me because they didn’t get the shots from their portrait cession”. Deer are nice that way, but what about vultures? :)

other than that? The opening music is certainly not going to upset anybody... so mission accomplished, I guess.

Change IS good. I liked the old intro....it kind of grabs you. But as my other retirement hobby, beside photography, is trying to teach myself acoustic guitar, put me down for the new intro. 🎸

One change from the Z6 and Z50 is that you can no longer store different shutter release modes in user settings. I had found that to be handy as i like to use continuous release for moving subjects and single shot for portraits and landscapes. Will go with continuous and remember not to hold the shutter release down.
