While I think it looks great, I know exactly what you mean. Trying to get the subject perfectly posed in the perfect setting is an endless pursuit lol
I agree, when I first started I wouldn’t even take an image that had a single stick or anything not aesthetically pleasing lol. The older I get and the more I shoot I try to capture the beauty of the animal and really don’t pay much attention to the surroundings. Sure it’s nice to get that perfect background and perch but now I just try to capture the animal regardless of where it is and I have more fun doing so.

That's what the clone tool is for! :) These photos work though because the subject isn't obscured by any sticks or vegetation. The dead leaves give the photo some context, i.e. a warbler during fall migration.

Thanks. I’ll definitely do some clone stamp removal at times but for the most part try to keep most of the original image intact. Gotta love photoshop lol.
