New Forum Style Option - "Light"

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

We've had some complaints about the dark background and white text. I use this style because it looks better for image display and matches my other sites better. However, I do understand if you prefer dark text on a light background.

To that end, I've added a new style. At the very bottom left of the page, you'll see an option for Default Style that looks like this:

style-1.jpg
You can only see EXIF info for this image if you are logged in.

If you want to change to a lighter theme, give it a click and select "Light" from the resulting menu.

To switch back, just click the link again (now it will say "Light" instead of Default Style") and you can go back.

Again, I still HIGHLY recommend a dark background if you're primarily looking at photos. I think it just looks better.

Hope you like it :)

Steve, I noticed this earlier tried it but switched back, personal preference I suppose.

Speaking of forum questions...although this has nothing to do with style...if I click on Reply to a post it puts in the quote of the original message just like clicking quote does...at least on an iPad it does, can’t remember if it does it on the Mac but iPad Safari is the same as desktop so that shouldn’t matter.
is there a setting I missed somewhere?

They are very similar. The "quote" option allows you to quote multiple posts at once. So, I can quote two, three or four different posts and respond to all of them at once using the quote feature. Reply only quotes the post you're replying to.

Thanks Steve for the choice, but I prefer the darker background.
