@soundbyte I did try the Dot tune method with the D7500+500 PF. It gave me a correction of +2. Which makes sense since the images point towards front focussing. Thank you for your help with this.

@Kevin Glad that you had success with DOT Tune AF Tuning.
Now for the acid test and more in field tests, I hope that it all goes well.

There is nothing wrong with the built in fine focus system in the camera provided you check you have AF s showing on the rear LCD or you get an error message.
