Nikon Rumors reports that the 600 TC is being shipped to NPS members

I ordered mine like 2 hours after the announcement and put my request on NPS way before they sent me the email saying that it was ready for priority delivery request (when I ordered it was listed on the other items list). I haven’t heard from them either, I sent them an email and received the same canned email they send to everybody “is an exciting lens with a lot of demand …etc” meanwhile I read reports that even some non NPS got the Lens. We will need to wait for the next delivery hopefully not months down the road.

I heard that Nikon sent only two to Canada, one to Ontario and one to Quebec. I was the first one who ordered it here in Quebec ( and according to the dealer the only one) that is why I got it quickly. Also heard that they send more to US than to Europe, because US dollar is strong and dealing with rate exchange. I don’t know if it is true, but it depends where you live.
i know how frustrating can be when you order first and someone else order after you get it before. It happened to me when I order my Z9. I called Nikon and I complained. A week later it was sent to me. Maybe you should write to the director of Nikon in your country and complain, that is what I did with the Z 9 .

Surprising you were the only order in Quebec....I know that CameraCanada had at least a 6 person list if not more. And that is just a single store.

That what the representative of Nikon told my dealer at that time. Maybe now there are more who ordered. I don’t know.
it is amazing lens and I am not surprised that people want to have it .

And to tell you the truth, I don’t know CameraCanada, Is it a shop in Montreal or it is only online dealer? I only know here Gosselin photo and Photo Service for professional photography. There are also few shops for second hand film canera. I like to deal with our local dealer, because of the service they offer. If I have a problem with my equipement, they will take care of the shipment and all the detail.

I'm in an identical situation Ivan and also often wonder what type of criteria NPS follows when allocating to NPS members.

It is in Ontario. I was told by Sony Canada rep that it is the largest Sony retailer in Canada for high end gear. Not sure about Nikon.
I use it even though I'm in BC because it saves me 7%PST. I've been buying all my gear there for years and have a great relationship with the manager to get gear early and sometimes with a bit of a price break.

Actually I just heard that from a fellow forum member that has his order in there and is 6th on the list.
I'm staying away from new gear for awhile.
I'll probably wait for the next round of pro bodies (R1, A1II and Z9II) before making any purchases or switching systems (again...)
