Of course I know of SnapBridge , the app for Nikon cameras , but have heard mixed reviews . What's the simplest and most effective way to take pictures of oneself ?
Thanks in advance

With what application do you take pictures and edit images, can you share them? I found it great.I got interested in taking portraits when I spent time in Cambridge in Colour. Bought cheap second hand lights. Didn't get much out of the exercise so sold the gear.
I took these photos by plugging the Canon 5Ds into the computer, opening the curtain, and resting the camera on my desk next to the computer. View attachment 66167

Couple of minutes using Lightroom
Android apps offers a diverse collection of free movie apps, allowing users to experience great entertainment on their mobile phones with high picture quality and diverse content from various sources.
Connect the Canon 5Ds to computer using usb cable. Open EOS utility and take photo. Open in Digital Photo Professional. Then Adobe Lightroom Classic to do some PP. If you want to get serious about it you could then use Photoshop. With what application do you take pictures and edit images, can you share them? I found it great.
When using the wireless remote , how do you know that the picture I want to take for example , (a selfie or me and friend ) is in focus ? How do you know it's in focus to take the picture ?I use a wireless remote or the built in self timer. Wireless remote will allow focus, self timer no. I put the set on a tripod, set the focus point, take a few photos. Then delete, clean photos of an aging old man,
But when using a wireless remote , how do you know the picture you want to take is in focus ?Self timer or remote release (wireless or wired).

Honestly, you don’tBut when using a wireless remote , how do you know the picture you want to take is in focus ?
You can plug the camera into a screen using HDMI, it will mirror the viewfinder. But when using a wireless remote , how do you know the picture you want to take is in focus ?
I use Single AF (AF-S) focus mode with the sound turned on. The camera will then beep when it acquires focus. But when using a wireless remote , how do you know the picture you want to take is in focus ?
Stellar self portrait, Nimi! I'd love to know your lighting setup. Looks like only one light, a very large, diffused light source?
And being a cigar man myself, I like the inclusion of that cigar - just enough out of focus to not draw too much attention, but still, we know it's there.
Is it as good as a AD300pro or AD600? It was always my believe that constant light isn’t as strong as a flash. Thanks! Aputure 600d Pro, Aputure parabolic dome (5ft) on the right and up, angled away from the face, painted dark blue backdrop 6 feet behind, v-flat (black side) 4 feet on the left, Avo Classic No. 3 cigar.
I transitioned completely to continuous lights. They are far more stable, stay at 5500k throughout the session, no heat. I have 2 600d Pros and one 300x and various diffusers. Their lantern is phenomenal.
The pop comes from the lens in this case. Best portrait lens I've used.

Regarding the softbox, Is it so good that it makes a difference vs. a Glow 60”?
