There are a fair number of Northern Pintails in my area at the moment. These photos were taken at the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta BC, Canada. The Northern Pintails were doing a fair amount of taking off and landing at the time of these photos. It provided me with some good photo opportunities. My tracking ability kind of sucks - so I was amazed that I didn't have to crop any of these images. (Although I wish the bird was a little less far to the left in the last photo.) All photos were taken with my Nikon D500 and Sigma 100-400mm lens, which I think makes a pretty good birding combo.
