I recently bought a Haida 6-stop filter as I wanted to try some long exposure landscape pictures. I had a hard time with motion blur in the trees. Any tips on that? Unfortunately my photoshop skills are limited, although a few of these are focus stacked in photoshop.

The below picture didn't require a long exposure but I thought it was a neat angle:

I don't know of any secrets for motion blur in trees. I think if you are doing long exposres of trees, flowers, etc you have to photograph on a perfectly still day.

actually very nice shots! How are you happy with 14-24 S-line?
I have 14-24 F-mount but it is sooo heavy. I was thinking to purchase Z-mount. It is 650g vs 1kg of F-mount. Last time I was taking my Sigma 24/1.4 for astrophotography to Africa and it is 665g. If I think that I can get 14-24 in 650g it is just amazing... but also expensive :-(
It is much better than F-mount version?

If doing long exposure and want to control for motion blur on trees, expose once for sharp trees and once for the water motion and blend in photoshop.
Thanks, that makes sense and I think I'm going to have to figure out how to do that in photoshop. I've blended and aligned focus stacking but that's about it.

I really like the 14-24s! I rented it first to try it out (and see how heavy it is) and was impressed. I never tried the 14-30 f/4s and probably would have been just as happy with that lens. The 17-28z is also another one I was interested in. Its great to see Nikon with so many options!
