One of my best friends has just shared this incredible video made by the Asferico. It is an old one but I beautiful.

The levels of the photos are out of my imagination, and for this reason, I would like share them with you.
The 2021 edition video is my favourite.
One point to start a discussion can be around the competition rules, exespecially in the Image paragraph.

Ciao,
Marco

Can you summarize the rules you mentioned?

The form of presentation (panning and zooming on numerous stills) is painful to watch.

out of curiosity how would you? or would you not try to adapt a still to a video?
I do it all the time, but one, maybe two stills and never with aggressive panning and zooming and always with intent to "pretend" it's a video. If I want to display a photo for the sake of displaying a photo, I keep it straight, give it border and have a fade or crossfade transition into and out of it.

Sorry for my late answer.
Here there is the list of the rules.
https://www.asfericocontest.it/competition-rules/

One of the most exciting rules is this:
Cropping is allowed but must not exceed 35% of the original image area and always taking into account the effects on the final fie sizes.

I always take in mind to limit the crop of my image.
Mainly I try to avoid cropping a distant subject to make it bigger or, if I make a mistake keeping the subject in the centre, to cut to move to one side. But I think that some people do that without any problem.
