It varies. The dart frog in the mushroom was 31 for instance. However, I had shot well over 150 trying to get everything sharp. However, I liked this look better - and the 150 image stack didn't work as well. The other shots vary from 20 or so to 70 or so. Every situation is different.

This one is a personal favorite because I have long envisioned taking a macro shot of a dragonfly’s eye. After a lot of “practice” :
