Interested in posting some before and after shots or just posting images in a different way. Using tables is relatively simple. It may seem daunting at first but have a crack by following these instructions. :)

To really see the difference, click on each in turn. I guess this would have been a better demo with crops to 100% view :)

Great tip and great instructions Oztours! That's a pretty cool comparison tool for all kinds of compare and contrast kind of discussions.

Here's another high ISO comparison. If I'd been paying closer attention to falling light levels I would have traded some shutter speed to lower the ISO but I wasn't, so this was captured at the high ISO cap in my D5 (25,600). So here's a comparison of straight LR processing to the same processing plus Topaz DeNoise. I suspect the difference is pretty obvious on these images without resorting to a 100% crop but click on each image in turn if it's not obvious.

Dave I don't currently use Topaz but this is impressive enough for me to look into this.(y)

Again Dave, excellent use of the Topaz tool. Thanks for sharing.

I've only been using it for a month or so based on posts on these forums but it is indeed very impressive. It's a bit slow even on a decent desktop PC with dedicated graphics card (there's an option to enable faster processing when a GPU is installed and I have that checked) and 16GB of RAM so it's not something I run on every image. But for select images that need some help in the noise department it's pretty incredible. It also adds quite a bit of sharpening in the process so generally if I run an image through DeNoise I don't add additional sharpening at the output stage.

Thanks for this Dave really helpful. I also noticed the declutter aspect, see BIRDIED, to the tool is the same tool, do you know? I'll ask Birdied.

No, DeNoise AI is pretty clever but not clever enough to identify and gracefully remove twigs, branches and distracting elements. That looks like a lot of careful PS work in addition to noise reduction in Topaz Denoise.

Thanks David, now did I tell you about my latest post... 🤣 https://bcgforums.com/index.php?threads/flags.2653/post-20630

Regarding Topaz, definitely an awesome program and best used in conjunction with whatever else you have. LR, PS etc.. As @DRwyoming just mentioned, it is slow on some computers. It ran extremely well on my PC with a dedicated graphics card and 32gb RAM, but that PC motherboard died a natural death and I am waiting on a new one I have ordered. At the moment, I only have 16gb RAM and onboard graphics. PAINFUL... OK with small jpegs but put in a raw file, it's a case of start it, go and put the kettle on, make the bed, wash the dishes....

Okay Peter I get it :ROFLMAO: I don't have a PC at anything like that spec. I'll talk to my youngest boy he is in IT.

What do you think, improvement?
Right idea, but I'd say that's a bit much. I probably wouldn't go all the way to a 16x9 aspect ratio but just stick with a 3x2 AR and shift the bird a bit left and may be a touch up compared to the more centered image originally presented.

Just my 2 cents and lot's of ways to present the image. Great image of a very cool small bird BTW, great feather and eye detail!

Okay and cheers for taking the time as well as the positive comments Peter, appreciated.
