Silver-studded Blue sipping nectar from the flower head of a Willowherb plant, in the forest at Kuhmo, Finland. Shot with a D850 and 70-200mm @f4, ISO 220, 1/1250 Sec., handheld.

NIce colors and composition! Looks a little like one of the hairstreaks present in my area of the US. I've started using my 70-200mm for closeups, too.
Thanks Alan ---- actually I would normally use my nikkor 105 micro lens for butterflies, but didn't have it with me in Finland --- wasn't expecting to need it this far north, but the 70-200 did a pretty good job !

Do you have the f/2.8 or f/4 70-200mm?
I used to have the f2.8 but swopped it for the f4 to keep my travel kit weight down --- it's almost as sharp and on this trip I also had the 400 f2.8 , two D850 bodies and the 1.4TC along with battery chargers etc., etc so any reduction in equipment weight for the 2 mile trek to and from the forest hides was very welcome.

Beautiful David as always - I like the composition on this shot , it would have been all to easy to crop right in and show only the butterfly on the single flower however it’s a much better composition in my opinion that you’ve kept all of the flower which works well against the slightly blurred background, love the colours ..

Thanks Harry --- I liked the balance , with the whole flower head in view, even though the butterfly looked small --- if you look closely you can see that the insect is not tack sharp so cropping in what have accentuated the lack of overall focus.
